Unspeakable Joy

Like peace, Gods joy is not like the worlds joy.

Joy comes from knowing 100% that God has your back.

Trusting in God and joy go hand in hand.

Psalm 5:11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

When our trust is in God for our lives and we know that the plan he has for us is good and our joy cannot be stolen.
We are joyful when we respond in the right way to others, especially during testing relationships.

The enemy comes to steal our joy.

The enemy will use people or circumstances in order to bring us down, oppress us and make us feel sad.

James 1:2-3 Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith through experience produces endurance leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace.

Through these testing times we ultimately have two options:

  1. React in the flesh and make our point known and subsequently lose our joy or
  2. wait on God before reacting. When we handle things Gods way, immediately we are filled with joy.

Where is joy found?

Joy is found where God is……in His dwelling place.

1 Chronicles 16:27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place.

What should we do with our joy?

We should sing praises to God, thank Him for the joy He gives and worship Him.

James 5:13 Is anyone among you suffering? He must pray. Is anyone joyful? He is to sing praises to God.
Psalm 84 The Message

What a beautiful home, God-of-the-Angel-Armies! I’ve always longed to live in a place like this, Always dreamed of a room in your house, where I could sing for joy to God-alive!
