The Power of Worship

I love to praise & worship God.

I love to sing songs of love to Jesus and declare Him as Lord.

God set me free so that I could sing to Him and worship His name, the name above all names.

There is no greater joy for me but to come into Gods presence and experience His love & peace.

There’s so much more to praise & worship than just the songs we sing.

Praise & worship is powerful!

When we worship in spirit and in truth we are worshipping from a position of power and freedom.

John 4:23-24 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

We know Jesus is ‘the truth’ and we know the Holy Spirit resides in us.
Therefore we are co-heirs and co-workers with God, (Romans 8:17) seated in high and heavenly places, breaking strongholds in the spirit over every unbelieving heart and mind.

As we praise & worship Jesus we are going into battle, hand in hand with God to defeat the works of the enemy.

When the walls of Jericho came down (Joshua 6:1-27) it wasn’t though brute force or human strength, it was through praise & worship.

I often reflect back to this bible story in my own life and imagine the problems I face as the walls of Jericho.

One by one, the walls or strongholds of my life come down as I continue to praise & worship.

Through praise I’m declaring that my God is bigger than any difficulty I may face & stronger than any circumstance.

Through worship I am surrendering my own fleshly agendas and reaffirming my faith in Jesus, sure of His love for me.

Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord!
