Simple Gospel – Live Worship

I’m so excited to announce that I’ve finally managed to get my hubby, Jon, to record a live Worship song with me! I’m sure you’ll agree that he is absolutely ace on guitar and I always enjoy it when we get to jam and worship together.

This week’s Wednesday Worship song, ‘Simple Gospel’ was requested by Thought Spark. I was thrilled when I was asked to record it as the lyrics, beautifully portray the simplicity of a relationship with Jesus.

This is just a short clip of the video but here’s the link to the full YouTube Video.

Simple Gospel Full Song

Please do check it out if you get time.

Simple gospel by United Pursuit

I want to know you, Lord, Like I know a friend, I want to know you, Lord

So I’m laying down all my religion, I’m laying down, I want to know you, Lord

I used to think that I could box you in, But I’m laying down, I want to know you, Lord

Lord, I’ve been told to be ashamed, Lord, I’ve been told I don’t measure up, Lord, I’ve been told I’m not good enough, But you’re here with me

I reach out and you find me in the dust, You say no amount of untruths can separate us

I will rejoice in the simple gospel, I will rejoice in you, Lord

Please let me know if anyone has any requests for next Wednesday Worship for a Worship/Christian Song.

    1. Thanks so much, Terri. I’d love to do some more songs together but he works crazy hours so it’s just finding the time to fit it all in. I know God has a plan though so it’s all in His time.
      Blessings, Hayley 😊💕

  1. Wonderfully soothing, Hayley, seeing and hearing the both of you together. And he is indeed, Jon is; absolutely ace! The way he feels the music in his bones and you in his heart is deeply touching. I’m so grateful he agreed to this, although visibly tired, so do not pressure your treasure, but maybe in his own time he could arrange some soaring electric accompaniments for [Burn Bright].

And even if he is not confident with singing yet, I somehow feel that the leading vocals of the [song of my most recent post] would fit him perfectly, and that he would greatly enjoy working on this with you. Take your time and by all means prioritize your beautiful family first. I love you guys! I lift you up in prayer and thank you for doing the same for us. Glory to God for using us all as quiet living prayers for one another.

    [Blessings] for next Wednesday? 💜🙏Leon

    1. Thank you for your kind and encouraging words, Leon. It’s always so nice to hear from you!
Is ‘Burn’ the song by Natalie Grant?
I will have to ask him about playing an electric guitar part but I’m sure he’d love to have a go!
      Blessings to you, Leon!

I appreciate beyond words your precious time, friendship and heart prayers for us all, Dearest.

      2. Thank you for that, Leon.
I value and appreciate your friendship also. God is so good in placing people around us that build us up in the love of Jesus.
        Have a blessed week.

  2. Love seeing the two of you together! As I think of my favorite songs, I picture and hear your voice singing them 🙂 I know you did MWS last week, but I know you would do a beautiful version of “Open the Eyes of My Heart” “In Christ Alone” is one of my favorites, but it always make me weep 😉 Our church tends to sing it more around Easter. And I love “10,000 Reasons” also makes me tear up haha.
