The Week in Review 16th March 2018

I know how difficult it can be to keep up with reading all the blogposts on WP so here’s a roundup of the week here at Red Letters, just in case you missed anything.

Monday

Monday marked the first post of a series called ‘Buried Time’, where I shared how procrastination steals our time and removes our focus from the Lord.

Here’s what my bestie, Rach from Faithful Mommy has to say about this post,

“My favourite reminder ‘the seconds you will never get back’. You can always make more money, more things, more memories but you can never get more time.

Time is a currency we cannot earn and such a blessing that God gave to us, I think he wanted to teach us this lesson all along. If time is from Him it must be for Him.

I’ve started to say No to anything that isn’t what He has asked of me, the peace I feel as a result is amazing. I also have space to see what He is doing, the little miracles that form the big picture! It’s amazing.”

Every week there will be a different ‘Time Burier’ to avoid and the focus for next Monday will be ‘People Watching’. It’s going to be a good one!

Tuesday

Every Tuesday I like to share inspirational news stories from around the world. This week was centred around a very special boy called, Noah who sadly lost his mom to cancer last year.

Since her passing, Noah has been keeping a journal of his good days and bad days and is now hoping to publish it as a book to help other children who have lost a parent.

I love T.R. Noble’s comment on this post,

“This is a beautiful story!!!! We often do not give enough credit to the idea that being honest can help others.”

This week’s Live Worship, ‘There is a cloud’ was requested by the lovely Tammy. For those of you who are part of the blogging community, you will know that Tammy is such a beautiful and encouraging person who is so full of God’s love. Thank you Tammy for your love and support to all of us.

Thursday

January 1st 2018 was the very first post where I made a commitment to write a blogpost for every week day. It has been such a learning curve for me as I remain faithful in the little things that God is asking me to do. Since then, the Lord has provided me with the grace to write a post every week day without fail.

This week, I’ve been challenging my motives for why I am blogging in the first place and even checked my heart to ensure I’m not getting ‘religious’ about this.

I want to do this for God’s glory so if there’s any ‘self’ in this at all then it has to go!

So, at 9pm last night, I had absolutely zero to write when an email pinged through to my phone from my hubby, Jon. It was a blogpost that he had written and it completely blew me away.

If you haven’t read this already then please take the time to read it. The revelation that I have received for myself since reading what Jon wrote has been profound.

This weekend I’d like to catch up on reading all of your posts so please feel free to leave me the link to your posts in the comments.

Have a great weekend everyone! Love you all!
